
As Membership Secretary, you’ll be at the heart of the Society’s connection with its members.
We’re looking for someone who loves being organised, enjoys keeping things running smoothly, and brings fresh ideas to how we welcome and support our members.
Membership Secretary
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage new joiners and renewals
- Keep our membership database accurate and up to date
- Make sure membership cards and forms are always in stock
- Send renewal notices and friendly reminders
- Lead our move toward direct debit and online renewals
- Provide regular updates to the committee
- Administrative lead for the Society
- Receives incoming correspondence and deals, as appropriate
- With Chair, composes agendas and circulates papers for monthly committee meetings.
- With Chair, ensures LHS is compliant with Charity Commission regulations

Help us to ensure that our activities take place in a safe and healthy environment.
Ensure our Health & Safety Policy is up to date and that required certifications are kept current.
Organise training as appropriate.
