FORGING CONNECTIONS, HELPING THE ENVIRONMENT

Wednesday 23 July 8pm The Old Library
Speaker: Sue Williams
Join us for our August talk where Sue will chart her involvement in gardening as a way of bringing very different communities together.
Sue says,
“I didn’t have a conventional horticultural training. But 30 years ago, I bought a house with half an acre of garden which had, at one time, been stunning. I spent many years restoring it, becoming passionate about gardening along the way.
“I have lived locally all my adult life and am now interested in community projects.
“I co-founded the gardening group at West Norwood Cemetery in 2021.
“I believe we gardeners have an important role to play through how we garden, in helping the environment. And we can help forge community bonds through shared initiatives.”
Sue is happy to answer questions about setting up community gardening projects, to help you get your own project off the ground and avoid as much hassle as possible.
The Talk begins at 8pm. Doors open at 7.30pm.
Light refreshments & raffle (cash only).
