Spring Show 2024 – everyone welcome!

Full details of our Spring Show which takes place on Saturday 13 April at St Luke’s are now available. Everyone is welcome to enter and there are lots of cash prizes to be won!

We’ll also be running a Cuttings Workshop during the Show. It’s free, so don’t miss out.

Classes

  • Container Grown: hyacinth, daffodils or narcissi, tulips, polyanthus or primulas, amaryllis, cactus and succulents, alpines
  • Cut blooms (vases provided): wallflowers, daffodil, narcissus, tulip, polyanthus, floating flowers, camelia or rhododendron, flowering shrubs, foliage, spring flowers, rhubarb, ‘leaf’ vegetable with roots, any other vegetable
  • Display: plants growing in a trough, arrangement of pot plants, pot-et-fleur, cacti and succulents
  • Handicrafts: painting or drawing, needlecraft, knits, patchwork or quilting, any other handicraft
  • Children’s: flowers in a jam jar, painting or drawing, papier-mâché, ‘monster’
  • Floral Art: ”spring’, ‘star’, ‘branching out’, ‘panache’, ‘in a wine glass’, miniature
  • Domestic: marmalade, jam, chutney, cherry cake (as recipe in Show Schedule, wholemeal loaf, flapjacks, English muffins, quiche
  • Photographic: ‘normal life’, any subject
  • Cherry Cake (recipe given)

Parking at St Luke’s

Make sure your car’s registration is entered into the permit system to avoid a penalty. The permit system is located within the church. As soon as you have parked, please ask the show secretary, or stewards for help in registering.
