Wednesday 23 July 8pm The Old Library

Speaker: Alice McCabe

Join us for our July talk with Alice McCabe as she introduces us to Japanese Bamboo fence making. Including its potential for structural application in large scale floral design.

Alice trained in Japan, sponsored by an RHS travel bursary, the Japanese Garden Society and the Daiwa Foundation. She will share her experience and research knowledge on Kyoto certified bamboos, the art of Japanese fence making and fence making techniques. Plus ideas for working with UK bamboo. And her upcoming installation and collaboration with Trebah Garden in Cornwall.

Alice is looking forward to an enthusiastic discussion with all attending and is happy to answer questions at the QA session including on sponsorship and travel bursaries.

The Talk begins at 8pm. Doors open at 7.30pm.

Light refreshments & raffle (cash only).
