It has a beautiful outdoor green space. SUMMARY:Gipsy Hill Village Fete
DESCRIPTION:We’ll be at Gypsy Hill Village Fete on 14 July `12 – 4 pm. Come along to say hello\, get supplies from the pop up Hut\,and maybe join us if you’re not a member. Long Meadow\, between Gipsy Hill and Dulwich Wood Avenue (SE19 1QR). \nAs ever\, lots of exciting activities are being planned for the day\, including live music\, traditional games\, dog show\, food and refreshments. There is also a marquee for community groups where you’ll find us. \nThe last event attracted about 3000 people. Friends of Gipsy Hill is a community group\, run by volunteers who involve local people and to use local spaces for community wellbeing. The Friends organise a wide range of local events and activities. They aim to make green space accessible and usable for everyone to enjoy.

DESCRIPTION:This free activity session is part of West Norwood’s “Glowing Cemetery”. \nThe workshop involves creating a mini Christmas wreath on a 6″ base with fresh evergreen foliage\, bedecked with ribbon bows and seasonal trimmings. All materials for making the wreath will be provided but bring your own scissors\, secateurs and wire cutters if you have them. And don’t forget gloves! \nYou can hang your finished wreath from your door\, in a window or use as a table decoration. Bring along a friend or two and have a great time learning how to make your own unique Christmas wreath. \nThe workshop leader is Helena Kowalska\, a highly experienced and friendly professional gardener who is a member of the Lambeth Horticultural Society.\nWe’re running 4 workshops throughout the afternoon 45 minutes each\, maximum of 6 participants. \nWorkshops are free but places are limited.
