So called because in the Society’s early days it was literally a wooden shed. It is now a shop open every Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning (except over the Christmas & New Year period) but available only to members. It is run by our volunteers so with no labour costs enables us to be very competitive with commercial alternatives. We stock a wide range of garden supplies and requisites – some plants, particularly bedding plants in the spring and bulbs in Spring and Autumn, seeds, tools and equipment, herbicides, fungicides, fertilisers, slug repellents, composts, horticultural sand, grit & gravel as well as floral art material and equipment and much else. In addition The Hut houses a library where members can borrow a video relating to gardening, and a collection of gardening books which may be consulted there or borrowed (one book at a time). The Hut can be found in Cedar Tree Grove, a cul-de-sac off Lakeview Road near Crown Point. (Click here for a map)
There are Lambeth Horticultural Society T-Shirts and Sweatshirts available at The Hut at bargain prices. The T-Shirts are only £5 and the Sweatshirt, perfect for those cooler summer days in the garden, just £9.50

Volunteers are needed to help staff The Hut. If you can spare one Saturday or Sunday a month please contact our Secretary - contact details in the Newsletter.
